A hard days night

Paul McCartney

We were there. We did it. We avoided traffic. Date night sacramento is part of history as we were part of the masses to open Golden 1 Center with Paul McCartney.
To have a better low stress evening we got a hotel room and took off from work early. How cool was that. Very.
Paul was still a rockstar and worked it on stage. My wife the "Beatles Girl" from her High School had an amazing time taking it all in. What a way to spend a date night sacramento. And yes we spent.

A million follow ups

The Million Dollar Quartet at the Harris Center was fantastic as expected. The ending was an epic rip roaring foot stomping good time. The four donned sequined jackets and ripped into a medley of songs. Hello Vegas.

The actors tried to mirror their "originals", some better than others, but they stayed in character and added little nuances throughout the production. This was a show to be seen many nights to catch all the little things. For al intensive purposes the Jerry Lee Lewis actor was The Killer causing grief and running amok being a freak of nature and putting on one hell of a show.  This show rocked!

One Million Dollars!

No we didn't win the lottery. At least monetarily...

Sam Philips of Sun Records did though back in the 50's. But the star power of Elvis, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins broke his financial resources and he had to upsize Elvis to the Major Labels to survive the mounting costs. One day they all were at the studio at one time and laid down some tracks and of course there was a photo shoot. Born was the "Million Dollar Quartet" and tonight is Date Night so we are going to the Harris Center at Folsom Lake College to see the National Touring "Million Dollar Quartet" show hit the stage.

The Harris Center is always top notch and we're looking forward to rockabillying the hours away tonight. In a perfect world we would have also reserved a spot at Land Ocean down the street or headed to Old Town Folsom first but unfortunately I have to work late tonight so pre-show festivities are limited. The show ran Thursday, Tonight, and still has one more show Saturday you may be able to make.
