We love to get up and go. Be it a road trip ot just a short jaunt sometimes we fell the need the need for speed. So on Sunday we got up and got out. Hunting for coffee and what turned out to be turkeys. We didn't have a plan just a whim. After a small cup of coffee(shown below) we just drove and Cheryl mentioned she wanted to see if any turkeys were out. By this she literally meant turkeys. Near the American River and in the Camus Commons area we see turkeys from time to time. A couple at a time; maybe six or so. But whoa this time was unprecedented. It was more than a gaggle. We came face to ugly face with literlly over 25 turkeys only a block or two away from American River Drive and Munroe. Much giggling was had at the turkeys expense while other drivers waited for them to cross the road. I believe mash potatoes were on the other side. Maybe stuffing??

Paris Baguette SacramentoDriving home one day I noticed a sign for some new businesses going in on howe ave. The new building stands where TGI Fridays used to be and nothing is actually inside the new building but three restaurants will eventually be. The one that caught my eye was called Paris Baguette so I went online and did some research. it looked heavenly with all the Pastries. So we had to visit one. There were a few locations of Paris Baguette in the Bay Area and since we we're going thee any way we had to check it out. Delish!. Two buffet rows o pastries another section for bread, a cooler full of drinks/desserts, and a grab n go area for savories. Plus tea and coffee behind the counter to be served. This place will be a great Date Night addition to go to. I emailed the company and they expect a early/mid 2017 grand opening. I know who's excited about that; THIS GUY!

Identity Coffee![]() Besides sleeping in one of our favorite weekend morning rituals is to go to get coffee. Chocolate Fish is an old friend of ours. We loved the downtown location by the Crocker and miss that space being open on weekends when Government employees aren't around. Chocolate Fish added a Folsom BLVD East Sac location and that's where we headed. On a plus note they don't have wifi so as to force conversations. Damn good Mocha! |
